BITTER ORANGE (Citrus aurantium)
The Arabs were the first to bring Bitter Oranges from Asia to Europe in the 10th century and then early crusaders introduced the fruit to Italy; In contrast to the sweet orange, the peel has a rough texture and is richer in essential oils.
