Fiordifrutta

Fiordifrutta-ambientataWhat is Fiordifrutta?

Fiordifrutta is a range of jams and marmalades (the official name is fruit preserve) prepared exclusively from organic products and sweetened with DolceDi apple-juice. Fiordifrutta has all the flavour and goodness of freshly picked fruit.
Excellent by the spoonful or spread on bread, Fiordifrutta is ideal as a dessert topping, cake filling or added to smoothies, ice-cream and yogurt. A contrasting flavour to enjoy with fresh and mature cheeses or to add zest to savoury sauces.

Select and Trace

Fiordifrutta is produced from carefully selected organic fruit. The fruit is grown in Italy or on the RdA farms in Bulgaria and is subject to several different quality controls. The fruit must be sufficiently ripe to provide the best flavour, scent and colour. Laboratory tests prove the absence of any chemical residue from pesticides, fertilizers and plant-protecting products.

“Low temperature cooking”

The plant at Foza, Asiago has been designed for low temperature processing to maintain the vitamins, minerals and aroma of organic fruit.
Each processing phase can be traced and cross-checked. Fiordifrutta covers a wide range of traditional to more unusual flavours:
Marmalades: bitter orange, lemon, mandarin, grapefruit and mixed citrus fruits. Jams: peach, apricot, figs, cherry, cornelian cherry, black cherry, cranberry, strawberry, wild berries, raspberries, apricot, peach, blueberry, blackberry, plum, sloe-plums, rose hip and gooseberry.

Why choose Fiordifrutta…

….. because this is the natural flavour of pure organic fruit.

….. you are guaranteed 100% organic produce farmed without damage to the environment.
The organic labels are awarded on merit: no artificial flavouring or colours.

…… because it is healthy: an innovative low-temperature cooking process fully protects nutrients and fibre contained in fresh fruit. Traditional cooking overheats and damages these natural resources. We use 2 kg of fruit to fill a 330 g.jar and the natural sugar found in apples is used to balance acidity and enhance the flavour.

… Fiordifrutta jams have about 50% lower GI (glycemic index) than other jams meaning that it converts into sugar more slowly. This is achieved by a lower than average sugar content (30%) combined with a high fibre content.

Where can I order or purchase Fiordifrutta Organic Fruit spread Cranberry in Washington, DC?

  • Andrea Rigoni 09.02.2011 ore 8:54 PM

Dear Matthew, thank you a lot for writing in. Unfortunately Fiordifrutta Chestnut is not available. To learn more about the flavors at disposal, please visit our web site.
We decided to switch into a smaller jar because the 250 gr jar fits better the market. Furthermore people usually prefer to have smaller jars to try the new products.
But who knows? Maybe in the future we will come back to the bigger ones! Enjoy our Fiordifrutta jams and keep in touch with us to see what’s new.

  • Matthew 09.02.2011 ore 8:52 PM

Though I enjoy as many of the current flavors as carried by the store where I purchase Fiordifrutta, I miss the Chestnut flavor.

Also, I liked the larger size jars that Fiordifrutta used to come in. I would gladly pay a higher price for your Fiordifrutta to have it, once again, in those larger size jars.

In my opinion, there is no better product than Fiordifrutta that is currently available. I hope it stays that way.

    Dear Andrea,
I bought several jars of Fiordifrutta jams at my local health foods grocer in London (called SMBS), unfortunately they are fairly unique in their field so are very popular and now the shop is running so low, last time it had 2 jars of lemon ones left when a month ago they’ve had plenty for each flavour.
The shopkeeper says it’s down to the distributor when to restock it and so I am wondering if you could put me in contact with them to find out other stockists.
    thank you.

All the best.

Hi Kristin, i’m sorry to hear that you’ve just discovered you are celiac, but let me reassure you that once you understand your diet, you’ll feel much better. Our jams, honey, and Fruttosa dessert are all free of wheat, gluten and starch so you can enjoy them as much as you want. We also have a chocolate & hazelnut spread called Nocciolata which may have traces of peanuts, in case you have an allergy.
I hope this is enough information for you, but please contact me again should you have any other questions.
All the very best to you for the New Year. :-)

  • Kristin 22.12.2009 ore 9:20 AM

I usually eat your jam and it is really delicious. But some days ago I discovered that I am celiac. Can I continue to eat it? I hope so :-)
    Thank you for your answer.
Best wishes for the New Year. K.

The very best to you for the New Year. :-)

I tried your fig jam that my wife bought at Coop here in Sweden. It’s wonderful :-)
I visited your web site and discovered that you produce so a wild range of flavors! Why don’t you export them all? Seasons greetings. Peter

Hi ! My name is Sylvie and I live in France. I tried your jam for the first time during an “animation” at Auchan. Now I can’t live without! I think it’s the best jam I’ve ever tried: no sugar added and the real flavour of fruit. Compliments! All the best. Sylvie.
