Nature at heart

Rigoni di Asiago has based its activity on producing from organic farming. Starting with honey, the company successfully proceeded onto making Fiordifrutta jams, the natural sweetener DolceDì, Nocciolata chocolate and hazelnut spread and most recently, Fruttosa ready-to-eat fruit dessert. RdA works with nature for nature. By choosing organic food, producing or eating it in the long term means sustaining nature's reserves. It means protecting ourselves and future generations. Rigoni di Asiago made this choice many years ago.

Mario Rigoni Stern

mario_rigoni_stern“ The snow will fall like small goose feathers, settling first on tree-tops then filtering down through the branches to the frozen ground below, like sugar sprinkled on a cake, it dusts blackberry bushes and moss. Wild hare and deer will stay still to look at the new countryside. Foxes will push their noses out of their lair to sniff at the new, yet ancient smells returned to their world. But when it is all covered in white, will the squirrels remember where they stored their winter supplies? The old grouse from Badger’s Rock will fly over fir trees where generations of his family have fed off soft pines while waiting for Spring. The forest will be immersed in a surreal time and I will walk through it like a dream. So many things will appear clear to me in that light born of itself”

Mario Rigoni Stern from”Inverni lontani” (Faraway winters), published by Einaudi 1999

Values and Principals

The beauty and magic of the unpolluted Altopiano di Asiago (Asiago Plateau) are the roots of Rigoni di Asiago. This is where the Rigoni family started their activity in 1922 and where the family continue to develop its mission: create productivity from natural resources following a coherent path to protect and sustain our delicate ecosystem.
Social Responsibility are key words enacted though important projects to promote the plateau without damaging the environment.

RdA invests in eco-friendly projects on the Asiago Plateau

The following projects are run by local authorities:
• Low carbon economy achieved by energy produced from biomas (organic material); 1 – 2 megawatt power centres fueled by wood and mill residues.
• Eco-friendly transport to reduce Co2 emissions – projects to convert cars and local transport buses to gas and use electric motorbikes;
• Reduction of water consumption; water is pumped up to the plateau from a natural spring in the Oliero caves at the foot of the mountain. Future plans for a rainwater reservoir.

Rigoni di Asiago supports the local economy, tourism, sport and promotional campaigns for the Asiago plateau

RdA helps the local economy and is involved with the Asiago and the 7 municipalities responsible for tourism in the area.

Rigoni di Asiago regularly holds competitions to win holidays in Asiago.

Local sports clubs are sponsored by Rigoni di Asiago: “Amore & Vita” and “Fiordifrutta” cycling club, in-line hockey “Asiago Vipers” (www.asiagovipers.it) and ice hockey (www.asiagohockey.it), cross country skiing, ice-skating, volley and football.

    Your jams are divine- sorry it’s taken me so long to say that, you’ve long deserved accolades for the effort and consistent quality. The subtle sweetness and a burst of fresh tang to balance it is so wonderful…

    I looked for years in hopes of finding the right one but everything was sickeningly sweet and packed with sugar or additives. I was willing to spend more and more but that wasn’t the solution either. Finally I stumbled upon a bottle of your Apricot and never looked back, nothing compares! Thank you so much for the taste I can’t live without… That beautiful, unspoiled Asiago region is stunning. May it sustain you fall or generations to come!
