News from Rigoni di Asiago
A message from Cristina Rigoni, International Sales Manager.
I was lucky enough to attend a really special event at Utrecht last weekend (1st April), the 2nd edition of the international harp festival and competition with 27 young harpists selected from all over the world.
The festival had a double voting procedure. Judges voted the best players and then the public voted for the overall winners. Well, it may surprise you, but Fiordifrutta participated with the “Fiordifrutta audience award”. This idea came to us because originality and harmony are two main characteristics of harp music which are the same sensations you get tasting Fiordifrutta.
Erik, our Sales Manager for Holland, and I spent Sunday attending harp concerts in different locations in the town centre, from the library at the Speelklok museum, to the Grand Hotel Karel V. A perfectly organized musical tour with a Fiordifrutta lunch including original sandwich combinations such as fig jam with Dutch cheese and our blueberry jam with paté. Guests appreciated the new flavours and the mono-portion sachets of Fiordifrutta and Nocciolata.

Previewed recently at the Pitti Uomo fashion show in Florence (considered the most important international event for menswear and accessories), the Bonotto extraordinary range of lambswool cloth was hugely successful. The fabric was in fact dyed by using Rigoni di Asiago blueberries, the same top grade organic fruit normally destined to make Fiordifrutta Blueberry jam.

Giovanni Bonotto presented his creativity and basic concept of a Slow Factory, a new manufacturing model able to revaluate the handcraft culture by Italian Artisan Masters who work on vintage machines from the ’50′s : less production, more works of art, a manifest against industrial standardizing and low cost production.
Our passionate and scrupulous research for the most natural, wild and often forgotten berries with the best organoleptic content for our Fiordifrutta jams (and not only…) meant we knew which fruit would make the [...]
